A Christmas Story is one of the iconic holiday movies in America. Several symbols (the leg lamp, the pink bunny, etc.) and famous quotes ("You'll shoot your eye out!" and "Frageelay...must be Italian!") that we recognize in our culture today originate from this film. Some students have not seen it, so it makes for a great movie to share in class with older students.
This movie guide product is meant to accompany the film A Christmas Story (1983) and contains 30 thoughtful questions to keep students focused on comprehending, analyzing, and responding to the film. An answer key is provided for teachers. Just print and go! I hope your students enjoy the holiday merriment in A Christmas Story!
This movie guide is the perfect level for junior high school and high school students. Best of all, it meets Common Core Standards that involve speaking and listening, especially SL 1 and 2. It also meets Reading Literature standards 1, 2, and 3.
