Looking for a low-prep, hands-on way to spice up your grammar lessons? Try ¡A Clasificar!, my new sentence sorting activity for practicing the subjunctive mood with your Spanish classes. In this activity, your students will sort the given list of 20 English sentences into two categories: subjuntivo or indicativo. You could easily adapt this activity for other sentences, simply by providing your own list.
This activity works well individually, or in small groups and would be a great introductory activity (by using inductive reasoning), application or review activity. Although designed for use in level one, it also makes a great review for Spanish two or three. Please download the preview to get a better idea of the graphic organizers and vocabulary included (in the preview, all the organizers are on one page, but in the paid version they are one per page). I like to pair this activity with my Task Cards for the Subjunctive Mood.
