Product Description

Overview: Clothing, shoes, jewelry, pens, pencils, and cell phones are common items we use on a daily basis. Not surprisingly, many of these products are not made in the United States. Small percentages are made in Canada, some products in Mexico, others in South America, and a few in Europe. Most of the products we use in the United States however, are made in East or Southeastern Asia. Why? A major reason for this is because of outsourcing. Outsourcing is contracting with another company or person to do a particular function (i.e. sending jobs to East/Southeastern Asia because it costs less to produce the product there and people are paid much less money to do/perform the same task that someone in the United States might be paid).
