I started "from scratch," looked at the Common Core Standards for ELA and said, "What can we do that would best fulfill these standards?" The result is the format for my series: A Common Core Approach To Teaching Literature.
The materials are educationally sound, useful materials whether you're teaching with Common Core or not.
This huge (322 pages!) resource includes:
Analyzing Passages From The Text
Elements of Fiction
Meaning and Inferences
Answer Keys/Suggested Answers
CCSS are given for each lesson.
Reproducible student materials are included in the teacher's guide and are also available as separate workbooks.
Note that many answers have been deleted in the sample pages to protect the integrity of the unit online. I've left some in to give you an idea about how thoroughly the questions are answered.
