Are you looking for a good way to teach round and flat characters? Are you looking for an easy way to teach character analysis? Many years ago I came upon a book that captured my heart. The name: A Dog's Life by Ann M. Martin. This book instantly became my very favorite read aloud chapter book for my third graders for so many reasons. It has become a great teaching tool because each year my class falls in love with the many interesting characters. This book is so easy for my students to identify with and thus becomes super easy to identify round and flat characters. I have taken this book one step further and have created a character analysis mini-project. Analyze away with this fabulous read and easy project!
