50 question summary assessment / final quiz based on the play by Henrik Ibsen.
This is a multiple choice activity. The questions are quite tricky, so I use as an open book test or scavenger hunt. This makes it an active learning activity as well as an assessment tool.
Questions are based on plot, character, vocabulary, and important quotations. There are twenty questions for Act 1 and 15 each for Acts 2 and 3. You could use as 3 separate activities, i.e. at the end of each act. This is actually how I first developed it. The questions are sequential, so if you're using in open book format, students should quickly see if they have missed an answer. Although it's a multiple choice activity, it is quite challenging. Students who work through this will have a very good understanding of the play.
The product consists of the quiz (7 pages) plus solution (1 page). Also included is a one page answer sheet, on which students can mark their answers. This makes marking easier for you, and cuts down on paper use.
It is a Word document, so you can edit to suit your class.
The 50 question format makes it easy to convert to percentages and grades.
