This is a complete set of questions (122) to provoke and test students' learning when studying the play by Henrik Ibsen.
I have included a number of different types and styles of questions. Some focus on reading and basic fact-finding. Some seek opinions from students on action or character, and encourage them to justify those opinions. Others ask students to explain terms, or words from the text. Numerous important quotations are included in the questions. By paying close attention to the text, and with occasional use of their dictionaries, students should be able to answer all questions.
I usually give each student a copy of the questions when we begin the play, and then use as homework, classwork etc.. It gives students a chance to show off their knowledge of character and plot. I'm often amazed to rediscover that students love the routine of answering questions in this format.
There are 122 questions in total. It's a 5 page student handout, in Word format, so editable to suit your class. The 7 page answer key is also included.
The preview file contains the questions and answers for the opening scene in Act 1. Even if you don't purchase my product, this will give you a useful start to your study of this great play.
NOTE. There are slight variations between translations of the play into English. I have included a table of differences in words used etc.. in the two versions that I used. This is also included in the preview file.
