A Doll's House Fishbowl Debate → Editable Files! Revised in July 2016.
Here is a fun, scaffolded assessment activity for A Doll’s House! This Fishbowl Debate requires small groups to complete a graphic organizer form arguments and counterarguments with evidence from the play. Next, students participate in an engaging (and somewhat competitive!) discussion in which they argue their selected or assigned positions.
Following the discussion, you could require students to use their graphic organizers and notes to write an ACT-style argumentative essay. (This activity will add an extra 45 minutes to the lesson plan.)
This activity is included in my A Doll's House Activity Bundle (http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/A-Dolls-House-Activity-Bundle-1515415). Buy the bundle today to receive not only this activity but also four other pre-reading and post-reading activities for a savings of 30%!
