Product Description
Don't miss out on this creative, educational & EASY to "throw together" - "File Folder Game" with your class, called "A Drop in the Bucket". This game was one of my "first additions" to my store when I joined TpT and I have recently updated it for everyone. The new & improved version has better coloring, the directions are more precise and I have included a few more sample images to help with assembly for anyone who is a visual learner, like myself!

We all know how expensive games can add to be for Centers in the classroom! This game will not only take up little space in the classroom, but it is easy for students to learn, use and clean up independently and it will cost MUCH less than any similar game you would purchase from a store or online.

I think this particular File Folder Game is cute to use during April because in the primary grades we were always discussing "April Showers" and water and my class always loved anything with a theme! Even for students who knew their ordinal numbers well, it was a great "time-filler" activity for those students who finished their work before others.

This product is great for Centers and any one-on-one math skill review of ordinal numbers. Also, I have used it with some of my English Language Learners to practice numbers and it was nice because of the visuals and the incorporation of the bodily-kinesthetic skills used during the game.

A Drop in the Bucket can also be created to use as a partner activity or you could even print out enough copies per student and make the game as an entire class to take home and involve and play with their family.

Easy to store too, since it's all contained in one File Folder, which makes it perfect for a small classroom or just to organize a lot of games for Centers easily.

A Drop in the Bucket Game (Ordinal Numbers) Product includes:

- Front and inside images of how the game should look once
- 1 complete "pre-made" Cover Page for the file folder in (color)
- 1 complete "pre-made" Cover Page for the file folder in (B&W)
- 1 page of the just the images from the Cover Page to personalize
your own File Folder Game w/o using my background colors or
borders if you choose.(Color and B&W images included)
- 2 pages of the "Bucket Images" for the inside of the folder (color
and B&W)
- A page of "Raindrop/Water Images" numbers 1-12 to use as the
game pieces to match with corresponding number words on the
12 buckets. (Color and B&W)
- Directions on each page describing the assembly and use for
each item.
- A "background page on myself" and a thank you page.

I have many, many more File Folder Games that I will be adding to my store. Please check them out for all content areas. I had a full file cabinet of these "File Folder Games" that I used for Centers, but also for students to grab if they finished up any of their work early.

I would greatly appreciate, also, if you leave me some feedback on my page and if you don't have time for leaving feedback, at least, “follow me”. I am still fairly "new" to TpT and I am working very hard to earn some extra money to support my family during a difficult time in our lives.

Not to give you my entire life story, but .... I had to recently give up my rewarding career as a Kindergarten Teacher in order to relocate due to my husband’s urgent need for a kidney transplant. And we all know the job market for teaching is not too great! ….. I miss teaching full-time so much and I love having TpT as an "outlet" for sharing ideas with other teachers!

I am trying very hard (in between taking care of my sick hubby and raising our 2 year old) to get my work out there for people to enjoy and share with others! It is taking me a lot more time to get things "just right" to add to my store than I had imagined, but I think that from my years of teaching experience, I have a lot to offer and also I have learned so much just being here and viewing others work too!

Thank you for all of your hard work! And thank you in advance for "shopping" by ;) I hope that you enjoy this activity as much as my students have and that you also enjoy many others available at my store.

Get a head start for next month and check out all of my new and upcoming APRIL activities, printables and lesson plans @

I will try to be updating daily. Thanks again TpT friends!

Also, as always, (included on my product pages as well) a special thank you to MyCuteGraphics.com for providing background images for this product as well as many other images for some of my other materials! They have anything and everything you can ever need to create worksheets, printables, scrapbooks, etc. and it is all free as long as you SHARE their great materials with others.

Take care all,

Kristen :)
