Are Essential Questions getting you down? A seasoned teacher at my school (who is a friend) told me that she was looking at all of the standards she was required to assess (and make essential questions for) when she had an epiphany! Each of the standards relate to some basic truths....they all are trying to make our students into good readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and citizens.
So why do we need to have so many different Essential Questions? Keep it simple!
I created these easy to print Essential Questions that can stay on your (and my) wall for the ENTIRE school year!
What does a good reader do?
What does a good writer do?
What does a good mathematician do?
What does a good scientist do?
What does a good citizen do? (for Social Studies).
Just add whatever standard from whichever state you happen to be from that correlates (or common core standards), and continuously ask your students these questions as they are learning throughout the school year.
Please view the mini windows to get a good feel of what you'll receive. You will get 5 Essential Questions in both color and black and white.
