Here is a timely and informative extra credit opportunity. This puzzle is a word search that encourages a little logic to find the 17 words for "mother" in 17 other languages. It's a little harder than it might seem it would be. It also offers an opportunity for the teacher to have the students google, or research, to find each of the countries from which the words came. Perhaps this could lead to a bigger project to end the school year. Once the student/doer has found the various "mothers", if the un-crossed out letters are arranged in order there’s a hidden message. The hidden message is a clever "motherly" example of a malapropism which might lead to a discussion on malapropism and/or Freudian slips. Regardless, it's all something to have fun with . . . and learn something from.
