This is a fun and interactive way to review the very important parts of the human life cycle. I have used this activity in my biology classroom with my 9th and 10th graders, but it could also be modified (use blank arrows without plans to label) for middle school life science or even AP Biology (use blank arrows that the students have to label without helpful word bank). A terrific addition to any interactive notebook activities you already use or use it on its own with some sturdy paper to glue the pieces onto.

This kind of life cycle diagram is a staple in any biology course and by putting the picture together themselves, the students construct their own learning. My students said this was one of the most helpful activities we did all year.

What's included:
Meiosis to form gametes
Union of egg and sperm during fertilization
Growth of the zygote by mitosis
Growth of the infant by mitosis

The materials include:
teacher’s notes
student instructions

Cut apart shapes in black and white line art

along with complete answer keys for everything!
