The Haida people are an indigenous people of British Columbia, Canada and British North America.
For many learners, remembering facts can be a challenge. However, with song or rhyming, many people find that they can defeat some hurdles.
After completing a Haida unit, I chose to put the main facts to a song. The students were able to organize their thoughts and were able to personalize their learning style. Some students said they used it to study and sang it in their heads when writing the final assessment.
However, if nothing else, it was fun learning and singing the song.
Here is the song. (Quality could have been better)
The lyrics of the song are on another page in my profile.
Here is a link to the song without vocals (sing-along)
