Through the lens of culture and heritage, we explore the way our multi cultural diversity influences our decisions towards a balance of healthy choices for body, mind and spirit. This 60 page, printable packets includes an interactive aspect which allows the children to engage in the inquiry in a very hands on way, together with the further development of their research skills. Independence is promoted within my classroom through use of clear instructions on all of the interactive notebook activities as reflections of the direct teaching and as a means of promoting independent inquiry.
We used the theme of Who We Are as we focused on the key concepts of reflection, responsibility and connection throughout this inquiry.
The cultural focus brought us together as we celebrated our unique diversity within our international school and the many multicultural traditions that influence our preferences with food, rest and play.
