Who doesn’t love to play games when learning the letters and sounds of the alphabet? My students love to play games, especially Dinosaur Stomp. Dinosaur Stomp is one of our classroom favorites! This is a 2-3 player game.
How to Play:
Place capital cards, or lowercase cards, or all cards in a basket (depending on what you want your students to learn). Player one chooses one card out of the basket. The player says the letter only, the sound only, or both the letter and the sound. If the player is correct, he/she gets to keep the card. If the player is incorrect, he/she places the card at the bottom of the basket. If a Dinosaur Stomp card is drawn, the player must put all his/her cards back into the basket. The game is over when only the Dinosaur Stomp cards are left or the time is up. This game can be played in small groups during centers or at the teacher table during small group instruction. I have included both a set of black and white cards and color cards for you to choose from.
Included in this game are:
Black and white capital letter cards for the entire alphabet
Black and white lowercase letter cards for the entire alphabet
Black and white Dinosaur Stomp cards
Color capital letter cards for the entire alphabet
Color lowercase letter cards for the entire alphabet
Color Dinosaur Stomp cards
