Feeling overwhelmed? Trying to wrap your mind around this thing called "Classroom Management"? As a new teacher I honestly just didn't realize certain things needed to be micromanaged. I didn't know I needed to track the number of times a student's cell phone was confiscated. No one told me to do that. They always told me to work on classroom management. I thought that meant work on my response to student misbehavior. That's part of it, but I would argue not most of it.
So what do we have to manage? This list is my answer to that question. For some people this list could potentially cause them to feel so overwhelmed that they shut down. If that is you, please do not look at this list. You will be more productive with out it. For others, like me, the more info we have the more prepared we feel in managing everything. This freebie is presented here not as a complete list but a list from my perspective. I may have left off some things.
You may not know how you will manage all of these things today but the more you work on them the more you will be able to address them as your strength increases.
