"A Little Prairie Christmas" Play Written by Tami Jo Redinger
based on the book "Little House On The Prairie" by Laura Ingalls Wilder
Parts for 10 characters plus a narrator. Narrator parts could be easily split to make enough for 12 parts, or the narrator parts can be split up among the actors and actresses who have less lines.

Included are 2 songs which I Have included in the play: "Hark the Herald" and "Silent Night". Also included are 2 alternative song lyrics: "Old Dan Tucker" and "I'm A Gypsy King", both of these songs are found in the book. If you would rather not do any of these songs, feel free and choose any other song you would like instead and replace it for the listed ones in the play.
The play is about The Ingalls Family's Christmas in Kansas, Laura and Mary are disappointed because Santa Claus may not make it to their home to bring them their gifts. Ma reminds the girls about all the things they have to be thankful for. This causes the girls to think about the year and all the terrible things that happened--which could have been worse! The girls finally are happy despite the fact that Santa won't make it--when Mr. Edwards arrives with gifts from Santa Claus!
