After studying biographies, students participate in a "Living Wax Museum" where they "become" the person they have studied who was a failure before becoming a success! They dress as their character, prepare a visual display, and perform for as large an audience as their teacher decides upon! Make it a day of fun and education for the entire school!
Studying famous people who failed on their way to success is highly motivational. The message: Don’t give up! Just because you fail at something doesn’t mean you ARE a failure! It may just be a step on your path to success! Learn from it!
Packet includes instructions, list of "failures turned successes," sample schedule for visiting classes, scoring rubric, sample "Scavenger Hunt" for museum visitors, and a "button" for visitors to press for the "wax figure" to come to life and give their monologue!!!
NOTE: I have included both the WORD document and the pdf. You can edit the WORD document for schedule, scavenger hunt, etc., to meet your class needs.
I know your Hall of Failures will be a huge SUCCESS! :)
