In this hands-on, self-check work station students will help Mr. Frog leap across the pond to get to his favorite lily pad! Reading each word will help with with looking and listening for the long e spelling pattern and rules. When students have read all of the words they should see how Mr. Frog is going to get to his lily pad.
This is a great work station or whole group activity. As a whole group I will generally hand a card out to each student and as they read it we will hop closer to the final lily pad.
Additional resourses: Bug or fly stickers to place on the back of the short vowel lily pads.
