Product Description
This product is a four page .pdf file printable for a half page exit ticket to correspond with Chapter 17 of the novel, "A Long Walk to Water" by Linda Sue Park. It is a half-sheet, quick, immediate assessment which also includes a key. Therefore, the page can be printed and cut in half. Two exit tickets are on each page.

Quick, meaningful, formative assessment is essential in any teaching lesson. Especially when you are moving through a novel with a classroom of students. It is often difficult to manage the individual student's measure of comprehension with middle and high school classes. This exit ticket has one short response with a key of a suggested answer. It's purpose is to be a quick assessment as students leave class after reading chapter 17. This will help the teacher gauge if students are comprehending the chapters as they are completed in class. A key is included if applicable. It also includes a blank template to use if you'd like to make additional exit tickets. To do this, you would have to create a text box in PowerPoint, Word or any other word processing device, use the snipping tool to insert it into the blank template.

I also have 18 individual exit tickets available in a bundle. There is one exit ticket created for each chapter of the book. All the exit tickets follow the same format. Different means are used for quick assessments. For example, Chapter One has two multiple choice questions and a figurative language extension. Many chapters are short responses or graphic organizers. The exit tickets are labeled with and without the chapter number as many of them can be used for more than one chapter.
