A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park is an incredible story of perseverance that your students will love. They will also love the introduction of Evidence Marks into their daily reading routine. Evidence Marks are a combination of bookmark and evidence keeper.  Since students are unable to write in most of their texts, this is the perfect way for them to provide textual evidence to text dependent questions.  Each chapter has one Evidence Mark for students with two questions for focused reading.  As students are reading, they will find textual evidence to support the answer to the question beneath.  This evidence or a portion of the evidence should be used to answer the question.

Included:

1 Teacher Instruction Page
