A great activity to allow students to reflect on their text!
A one-pager is a great way for students to incorporate their ideas with artistic elements. Students create a final product that resembles a magazine cover – large clear images, block lettering, a balanced layout, etc.
For this one-pager, students will record information about their school year. This will take approximately 15-45 minutes to rough draft. Then, students will work for another 30-60 minutes on their final copy.
The final copies can be displayed in the classroom, used as a type of show-and-tell, or you can just let students casually discuss their topic as they work.
Students will need the directions, rubric, and at least one piece of white, unlined paper.
Let your students’ creativity flow – and encourage students to take pride in their work – the results will be AMAZING!
I am always making up bundles of packets, pacing guides, assessments and quizzes with keys, and activities with rubrics.
