I have made this resource to help begin meet the needs of our 21st Century learners.
This activity focuses on coding. However it can equally be seen as a sequencing activity, a problem solving activity or a positional maths activity.
This is an introductory activity to using coding. It doesn’t require the use of a device or access to the internet.
This resource allows for open-ended play and exploration. Students can place their characters anywhere on the maze board and ‘code’ instructions to move their character to different locations on the maze (without travelling through the maze walls.
The resource can also be used as a form of game play or to challenge each other to move to or away from certain locations. Suggestions for this are provided.
This resource comes with;
- A maze board, in a choice of white or grey background
- 4 Player Coding Cards
- A set of direction blocks, object cards and 4 player character cards
