This document provides you with 3 selected scenes from Kids Love Shakespeare's adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Each scene is ready to be printed, copied, and placed in the hands of students. These scenes can be used as part of a Reader's Theatre activity, or as an exploration of Shakespeare and drama.

CONTENTS AND CHARACTERS
SCENE ONE: HELENA & DEMITRIUS
In this scene Helena proclaims her undying love for Demetrius and he scorns her. It provides speaking roles for 2 students: 1 Boy and 1 Girl.
SCENE TWO: MECHANICALS’ FIRST PRACTICE
In this scene Peter Quince gives out the parts to the play that the Mechanicals will be performing for the Duke on his wedding day. It provides speaking roles for 7 students - most roles will be happily played by either gender.
SCENE THREE: LOVERS’ QUARREL
In this scene both Demetrius and Lysander swear their love for Helena. Hermia becomes jealous and then men challenge each other to a duel. It provides speaking roles for 4 students: 2 Boys and 2 Girls.
