Product Description
What's in a phone? A form of communication, by any name should sound as sweet!

This activity is intended to get students engaged in understanding the character relationships and plot points within Act 1 Scene 1 of A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare.

Students have a choice between all of the major characters in this scene and will craft a conversation between them to demonstrate their understanding of character and plot.

In order to use this activity, you can project this product onto your board or print it out for student use. Students can create their text messages in a number of ways: you can provide a template, you can have them draw their own cell phone screen, or they can create them digitally. The possibilities are endless! This activity provides opportunities for students to showcase their creativity and humor and also helps me to keep cool with all the new slang!

My students had a great time with this activity and the questions that they were asking throughout showed me how helpful this was in clarifying their understanding of the play so far!
