This is my attempt of explaining Pi (3.14) on Pi Day (March 14th) to my First Grade Students. I have taken the concept of pi and broken it down for my 6 year olds to be able to understand it (or at lease have a proper introduction). In this classroom reader which I suggest you keep on your classroom big screen as the story is quite long.....students will see the correlation between Pi and pie.

There are actually 107 pages to this book....yes...I have lost my mind....but let me tell you....after reading this, the young children in my class will be able to explain what Pi really means! Or at least that is my hope...bwa-ha-ha! I suggest that you have REAL pie to accompany this story, I also have a couple of vocabulary building pages as well as a word wall in this pdf.
