This writing activity provides an opportunity for students to make text to self connections using the book A Pocket For Corduroy. Students come up with describing words to describe their own teddy bear after reading the book A Pocket For Corduroy. You can have students come up with a list of good describing words and then they can choose two words from the list. They will then draw a picture of their teddy bear in the box provided. This activity gives students a way to make and document a connection to the text through picture and words. This document also includes two display pages for a bulletin board.
