Want a great way to teach students about the different story elements and incorporate more writing? How about stoking the students’ interest with story elements pockets?
This is a great hands-on activity that can be used to help teach students the different story elements and encourage
writing. Each student is given a sheet with the different story
elements pockets. Students will cut out each pocket and glue the pockets into their reading journal, reading notebook, or on
construction paper. Students use the story elements writing sheets to write about the different story elements. After writing is completed, place the writing cards in the correct pocket. Viola! Instant and engaging students created work. Works with new Common Core standards in grades 2-6.
