Product Description
Empasize vocabulary as you read aloud the popular A Pocket for Corduroy. This unit indentifies six Tier Two words to emphasize as you read. Four words are directly from the text (patiently, hesitating, tumbled, damp) and two are implied words (dilemma and sidetracked).

This unit is part of a larger unit of activities that includes many of the most popular read alouds in early childhood. The activities are the perfect companion to a curriculum that includes A Pocket for Corduroy. The activities are aligned with "Vocabulary Acquition and Use" of the Common Core Standards.

This unit is the collaboration of six teachers (Haley Alvarado, Elizabeth Conte, Debbie Harbor, Maria Mallon, and Randi Timmons), led by former Florida Teacher of the Year, dayle timmons. Teachers wrote, taught, and revised these activites and now call them "tried and true."
