Ocean themed position words literacy or math center activity for Kindergarten students that gives them practice using positions words such as above, below, beside, in front, next to, and behind by looking at a picture of a crab and a dolphin and deciding where the crab is in relation to the dolphin. Students have to look at the picture of the crab and dolphin and then sort the picture into the different categories. Students then record their answers on the recording sheet and check it with the answer key or you can collect their sheet to check/grade! This activity comes with a student recording sheet that has the words and pictures which is great for your emergent/non-readers and a teacher or student answer sheet. Students can check their own work! Another option that is added to this file is for students to write the actual words for each of the pictures. A great activity you can differentiate based on student's needs! Print on card stock, laminate, and place at a center! Also great for lower level first graders or ESE students.
