This is a six page rainforest flip book that explains the food chain progression from ant to jaguar. This little book makes teaching sequencing fun. I added a fifth grade science core idea, ESL Insights which is my guide to using this product with ELL students, a writing page, and eight vocabulary cards.
The food chain craft includes all five blackline graphics from the sequencing in the book; two to a page. There is also a drawing/writing page for students to sequence in writing as a follow up and a page with large arrows that can be used with the craft.
The fifth grade core idea that inspired this product:
5th Grade Science Core Idea:
Interdependent Relationships in Ecosystems:
The food of almost any kind of animal can be traced back to plants. Organisms are related in food webs in which some animals eat plants for food and other animals eat the animals that eat plants.
