Product Description
First page is a reading guide for the story found in the Elements of Literature Fifth Course textbook. Most questions I came up with, but one or two might be from the teacher text.

Second, third and fourth pages are a follow up activity. First the students can watch the 25 minute video of the story with Angelica Houston as Emily (found it on YouTube). They compare the two stories. Then they find many examples of foreshadowing in the story using quotes as proof. Then they list the events in the story in text order, then number them in chronological order, cut and paste them into that order to see how the story would look if it were written that way.
