This is a set of materials I put together when I was working with a grade 4 class of visual learners. They are meant to review and reinforce place value and number forms for whole numbers through 12 digits.
The set includes 24 task cards, three charts, a worksheet, and one page that explains how to use everything.
Task cards give the student a number up to 9 digits in one form, then ask the student to write the number in a different form (word form, standard form, or expanded form).
The three charts are two to a page and can be glued into students' math spirals. One chart shows the place values and names of each place for numbers up to 9 digits; another does the same for numbers up to 12.
The worksheet reviews numbers up to six digits and shows a chart to help students identify the value of each digit. An answer key is available upon request.
One page of this product is a cut-and-paste activity that asks students to make a tree map of number forms for numbers up to six digits.
This is also a good companion to my Number Forms Matching Cards
