This is a higher-level activity to be done after reading, A Sick Day By Amos McGee written by Philip C. Stead. Children will choose an animal that was not a character in the Caldecott winning book, A Sick Day for Amos McGee. They have to think about what the character might do to help Amos feel better? They must think about the animal’s characteristics that would make Amos feel healthy again. Students will write what your animal might say to Amos to make him feel better in the speech bubble. Very cute and fun activity!
