This activity was originally intended to be used before a class pizza party.
The students were broken up into small groups. (table settings) Each student was given a "slice of pizza" to decorate however he/ she chose. The worksheet guided students through, as they answered a few fraction questions involving their individually created slices.
The groups then put their pieces together to create "one whole" pizza, and together answered the remaining questions on the sheet.
*Whether this activity be used as a "ticket" for an edible slice, or just some classroom fun, it's a great way to get students creatively involved with a tricky math concept: Fractions.
