Product Description
This download includes three lessons for A Streetcar Named Desire. The first lesson uses a scene from Gone With the Wind to help familiarize students to the idea of the Southern Belle. The second lesson incorporates a letter from Jessica Tandy and a painting by Thomas Hart Benton to get students to look deeply at the characterization of Blanche DuBois. In the third lesson, students will analyze the song "It's Only a Paper Moon" in order to better understand Blanche's psyche. I have used all of these lessons with great success with my sophomore and junior students.
