I had a lot of fun putting this one together. It's a quick guide to commonly used revision symbols that students will find both clever and useful.
I copy this onto heavy card stock and three-hole pouch enough copies for all of my students at the beginning of the school year. I formatted this with a little extra room on the left-hand side so the holes won't punch through any of the text.
This guide is super helpful for students to use when practicing peer-editing. It also allows me to provide more substantive feedback in a more timely manner.
A helpful hint when providing feedback: use these marks on the left-hand margin of a paper for feedback related to conventions (spelling, grammar, and punctuation) and utilize the right-hand margin for feedback related to content and ideas.
