Product Description
Hello! I am a school library media specialist (aka librarian) and I LOVE to read. I want all my students, regardless of their reading levels and learning disabilities, to feel the same way. I know that when my students with mild, moderate, severe, and profound disabilities are able to successfully complete activities, they feel more excited about reading.

I also believe that students with special needs should be able to access the same grade-level literature as their peers. That's why I create adapted participation activities, which I call book buddies.

I use this book buddy with my students with mild, moderate, severe, and profound disabilities, but it would also be wonderful to use with Pre-K students, lower elementary school students, and English Language Learners of all ages!

This book buddy is saved as a PDF. I print out the pages, and either laminate them or place them in plastic sheet protectors. I cut out and laminate the picture cards, and then place Velcro on the backs. These picture cards, created using Boardmaker, are also sized perfectly (3 inches x 3 inches) to use with voice output devices.

I hope that this is helpful to you and your students. Please feel free to reach out to me and make requests for more book buddies. I hope to make at least one new book buddy per week. Enjoy!

Sincerely,
The Special Education Librarian
