This is a review activity for Book the Second of A Tale of Two Cities, Chapters 1-15. Print the PowerPoint slides and place them around your classroom, in the hallway, or any open space available. Students will move from question to question, attempting to answer each question on their own paper as they go. This is a great way to get kids moving while they learn!
When all the students have gone through the rotation, the teacher should use the PowerPoint questions to launch a review of the events and inferences of the novel. These questions should spark a discussion and are a good way for teachers to determine what must be retaught before a test on the first half of Book II.
I have now included a QR code on each slide that includes the answer. Teachers can choose to use them or not. I have had tremendous success with students using the QR codes. You can also upload a pdf to Edmodo (or your class website) so students (and parents) can review at home. This will help avoid make up work for absent students!
The Walk-About is also a great activity to use in pairs or small groups for students who have a higher understanding of the novel.
I print my slides on colorful paper and laminate them for use with many classes and future years.
