When you teach an honors class A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, you have to consider your audience. My audience, like at many of your schools, was made up of 75% female students. I never liked Dickens much when I was in high school, but I started to realize how good he was in college. I didn't want my students to turn off to the novel the same way I did back when I was a freshman, so I tried this presentation to get the girls at least a little more interested.
I don't want to imply that girls are only interested in fashion, but I could tell they weren't interested in revolutions and grave robbers, so I gave it a shot. All of the photos are easy enough to find; you're paying to have them organized a bit. Something to help your students see the characters a bit better.
