31 clue crossword puzzle (with solution) based on the novel by Charles Dickens.
This is a summary quiz, designed to be used after reading the novel. It could be used as a homework assignment or as a filler exercise in class if you have nothing else prepared. I find that students enjoy the crossword format (and don't see it as work), even though it can be quite challenging.
I've added as much detail as possible to the clues to ensure that students are actively learning while working on this task.
Clues include the names of characters, place names and other important words in the study of A Tale of Two Cities. A word bank is included to assist students. You could redact this to make it more challenging. In this case, I would use as an open book test.
