This 71 slide PowerPoint presentation is about as big as I could make it and still have it fit on this site. This truly became a labor of love (as projects often do). My goal was to take my students on a tour through the solar system by collecting as many pictures on each planet as possible. This is the second half of that tour, through the gas giants (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune), and the dwarf planets.
I have included brief descriptions on each planet, labeled pictures, and a quick note on the fact that planets do not produce their own light.
Simple and easy to use. Can be used with Cornell notes.
If you like this tour, be sure to check out the first half, a tour through the terrestrial planets. You can follow these links to other lessons and activities in my solar system unit.
