For this project, students work in groups and research a popular Spanish-speaking city as part of a travel unit. Each student is assigned a job and are responsible for a different part of the project.
They will research things like: a recipe (with an option for extra credit by making the recipe and bringit it to class), a packing list, three travel itineraries, maps, interesting facts, weather/forecast, etc. Also included is an optional "alternative" project for students who don't complete their portion of the group project and are therefore removed from their group.
Since we did this at the end of the school year for level Spanish 2, I likened it to a "capstone" project that students would complete in college. It covers pretty much all of the topics students learn in both Spanish 1 & 2 (weather, clothing, food, travel, etc).
This extensive project includes nearly 20 pages of project info, tips, peer evaluation, entry document and examples of student work. Enjoy!
