A Christmas play for elementary children. Dialogue occurs between a donkey and an ox, a star and a camel, and a shepherd with his sheep. A background chorus ties together the theme that Bethlehem had no snow when Jesus was born, and that warm weather is characteristic of the Christmas season in other parts of the world as well. Directors are given plenty of opportunity to make the script their own when it comes to sets, costumes and music. The playlet runs anywhere from ten to thirty minutes, depending on the quantity of music the teacher intends to use. A good choice for a class of up to 30 students. Teachers will appreciate the simplicity and the humor of the dialogue.
