This activity serves as a wonderful and engaging learning experience for students studying Mars. Packed with 10 exciting activities for students to complete through guided Internet research, this WebQuest will help your students gather basic Mars facts, delve into current events surrounding Mars, and look to the future of space travel and landing humans on the Red Planet.
Websites allow students to learn about Mars, the discovery of water on Mars, Scott Kelly's year in space, the SpaceX program, and the future of space travel!
Students may work as individuals or pairs for this WebQuest. After visiting 10 informational websites, students are asked to take their learning and synthesize a friendly and informative letter that focuses on Mars. This letter serves as a summative assessment to this activity and allows students to use creative freedom with their own research to produce a letter they may truly want to mail to someone!
