A Wee Bit O' Green

Can you guess which color has the most shades of all the colors ? If you said GREEN, you are correct. Scientists say it’s the color our eyes can see more often than any of the other colors. It maybe, they say, because humans started their lives in the forest.

The island of Ireland, also known as the Emerald Isle, celebrates all that is green on St. Patrick’s Day ~ a 5th century Roman Britain missionary who went there to bring Christianity.

One legend, in particular, involves a rainbow with a pot of gold at its end guarded by a mischievous elf known as a Leprechaun. Many tales of woe and trickery have been told regarding this famous Irish imp.

Included in this March's CLAMDiggers Unit are:
