This eight day unit uses the movie, “A Wrinkle in Time” to teach characterization, generalization, drawing conclusions, cause and effect, theme and text analysis. This unit is also aligned to common core standards. Included are eight complete daily lessons complete with mini lessons, lesson, activities and assessments. . This great little unit has tons of hand outs and worksheets like character trading cards, character charts and Venn diagrams, and target skill PowerPoints. These mini lessons can be used with any short story, novel or movie, but are specifically tailored for teaching with this classic movie. Each daily lesson plans included common core standards along with target skills that are focused on during the lesson. This is a great way to engage learners and help them to apply characterization while using text analysis to make and support a claim.
