A simple, but fun, graphic organizer for students to do prior to reading A Wrinkle in Time. Students research facts about space travel and the 1st-4th dimensions. Then students share what they have learned in small group or class discussions. This discussion generates further questions and research for further answers.
I have used this with my class. It’s a great introduction to how to have a collegial discussion, each student waiting for her/his turn, discussion without the teacher leading the discussion, etc.
• Print in color and laminate – have students write their answers in their Interactive Students Notebooks or on separate paper.
• Project on the wall and have students write in their ISNs or on separate paper.
• Project on the wall and have students research as small groups or as a class to find and discuss answers together. Generate further questions about space exploration to research.
Answers are included.
