the combination of an educational activity and a fun craft
2. A creative and enjoyable activity (“My students are loving this craftivity!”)

Okay. So maybe that word is totally made up BUT either way, your kiddies will LOVE these interactive, engaging, thematic, and FUN activities! Each craftivity comes with detailed instructions (with pictures!) and the majority include TONS of options for easy differentiation and/or customization PLUS suggestions for alternate uses where applicable. Use them “just for fun” or integrate them with your learning. The possibilities are endless!

INCLUDED you will find:

* "The SCOOP About Me!" - This craftivity was designed as an “About Me” activity but also includes lots of optional templates that allow you to use it in countless other ways; From procedure writing, science information, and math facts, to sight words, Bible verses, and a summer bucket list, this ice cream craftivity will add some fun (and YUM!) to just about any topic!

* "A Bushel of Names" - This craftivity was designed to use as a “name practice” activity (i.e. writing and arranging the letters in students’ names) but, similar to the Ice Cream craftivity above, it also includes additional templates that allow you to use it in many other ways; From writing facts about apples, to listing fall vocabulary words and other cross-curricular connections, this stacking bushel craftivity is sure to bring hands-on, artistic fun to any subject!

* "Pumpkin Facts” - This craftivity was designed for students to record facts about pumpkins (or any other topic that you are learning about throughout the month of October/November), but also includes optional templates that allow you to use it in many other ways. However you choose to use it, this craftivity will add a little thematic fun to your learning!

* "Grateful Gobbles" - This craftivity was designed for students to share some of the many things they are grateful for, but also includes optional templates that allow you to use it in other ways. Whether you use it for math, science, language, social studies, or just what it was created for, this craftivity is a great way to throw some creativity and art into the every day!

* “Thanksgiving Placemat” - This craftivity makes a great little Thanksgiving keepsake for students. They can use it at their tables on Thanksgiving to share their gratefulness with family. Like all the other craftivities, it includes lots of options for you to choose from.

* “Everyday Heroes” - This craftivity is perfect for Remembrance Day (Canada) or Veterans Day (US). Depending on how you commemorate this special day in your classroom, there are a variety of templates for you to choose from to suit your desired focus. From remembering those who fought for us, reflecting on our blessings, or connecting the idea of heroes to the everyday heroes in our own lives, this craftivity provides a meaningful, relatable, and hands-on experience to enhance your students’ understanding of this important holiday.

* "Santa’s List” - The Santa’s List writing prompts craftivity is there for those who just want
a straightforward festive craftivity to engage students. However, I have included additional options that allow you to use this craftivity as a template for just about any subject or focus. Have students put words in ABC order, list multiplication facts, brainstorm synonyms…..whatever you’d like!

* "Ornament Template" - This craftivity was left complete open-ended so that you have the flexibility to use it in any way you wish! Use it for anything from how-to, opinion, or personal narrative writing, to math, science, or social studies! No matter how you choose to use it, this craftivity will give a creative twist to any task!

* “Fir Tree Flip Book” - This craftivity is one of my favourite Christmas/Holiday crativities. It combines the inevitable excitement of kiddies getting gifts, with the intention of nurturing an altruistic and humanitarian spirit throughout the holiday season…all that plus an adorably festive craftivity to display in your classroom!!

* "Happy New Year! Hat” - This craft is really just a fun way to welcome your kiddies back after the new year. There are a few templates to choose from depending on how much time you want to spend on it: you can simply have students use crayons/pencil crayons/markers to create their hats, or get a little more crafty with tinsel and pompoms (and—if you’re braver than me—glitter!).

* "Snow Drops Necklace" - This craftivity was designed as a skip counting activity to practice counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s, but it also includes blank templates that allow you to use it in countless other ways; have students spell their name (one letter on each Snow Drop), write sight words you’re currently focusing on, colour to create a pattern, or whatever else you can think of!

* "Valentine Accordion” - This accordion craftivity is a fun way to celebrate Valentine’s Day in your classroom. Rather than displaying these little books, I like to either have students share them with their Reading Buddies or simply keep them in our class library to give students a chance to read one another’s when they visit the Reading Centre (but you, of course, can use them however you like!)

* "Valentine Writing" - This craftivity has been left completely open-ended so that you can use apply a Valentine theme to just about any learning topic you want! For example, if you are currently focusing on opinion writing, students can write about why Valentine’s day is the best holiday or why their mom/dad/sibling/etc. is so amazing. You can also simply provide students with a writing prompt (pg. 00). No matter how you choose to use it, your students will “love” the touch of fun this simple craftivity brings to their learning.

* “Happy Teeth #1” AND “Happy Teeth #2” - Along with Valentine’s Day, February is also Dental Health Month and this craftivity is perfect for your unit on healthy eating/dental health! There are TWO craftivity options (both of which have additional differentiation options as well) to choose from based on personal preference/time.

* "Leprechaun Hat” - This silly little craftivity is just what you need to kick off your St. Patty’s celebrations! I mean, what could be more fun than learning with a leprechaun on your head?!

* "Seuss Kids" - This writing craftivity is perfect for celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday and Read Across America. During the month of March we tend to read a ton of Dr. Seuss books and this craftivity provides students with the opportunity to share one of their favourites!

* “Earth Day Mobile” - Not only is this craftivity fun and festive, but it’s also a great way to help students establish a more personal and meaningful connection to Earth Day. With two different options to choose from, you can also customize this craftivity to meet your and your students’ learning focus.

* “Eggciting Surprise!” - This Easter craftivity puts a sneaky twist on descriptive writing! Students will have fun getting creative (and silly!) while still practicing valuable writing skills. And while this craftivity was created for an Easter theme, you can use it during a Chicken unit, when learning about life cycles in science, or any time you’re focusing on descriptive writing!

* "Cinco de Mayo Flag Book” - Fiesta like there’s no menana with this fun Cinco de Mayo activity flag book! I like to have my students complete some or all of the activities throughout the day and then surprise them by saving the Mexican Flag Cover Page and “craft” part of the activity for last.

* "Parent Portrait" - Sometimes there’s just not enough time in the school day/year to produce an intricate, time-consuming creation for Mother’s/Father’s day. This is my go-to activity that won’t eat up an entire week of learning but still results in an adorably thoughtful gift.

* “Mother’s/Father’s Day Book” - These books have seriously been such a hit with my students’ parents! Thanks to their simplicity, they take surprisingly little time to “publish” and yet produce an incredible keepsake that parents cherish and read over and over with their children. This is definitely one of my personal favourite craftivities!

* “Highlight Reel” - Wrap up another amazing school year with a Highlight Reel! Students will love reminiscing about a few of their most memorable “highlights” with one another through this interactive craftivity. There is a template that guides student memories OR you can choose to select the blank template and let your kiddies share the things that stand out most to them.
