Product Description
This bundle contains 132 ready to go fiction reading responses that I used with Grades 1, 2 and 3 students. This set can also be used with a kindergarten or Grade 4 class too, with some modifications to the expectations of each activity.

For your convenience, the list of books/authors is included – Just give to your librarian and they should help you find the books that you need.

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS PRODUCT A POOR RATING IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THESE BOOKS. Print off the list below, and see if you have access to the books before you buy. These books are common read aloud books, and should be available in most school libraries.

The reading responses include standards/expectations with inferencing, predicting, character, setting, problem, solution, text-to-self, text-to-text, and text-to-world connections, and personal opinions of texts.

The reading response worksheets are designed to be completed after a read-aloud. The reading response worksheets are designed to provide variety to students. Some worksheets are quick and some will take more time to complete. All worksheets come with a 5-star rating system, so students can rate the book.

I have also included reading response success criteria cards and four blank templates for book reports.

I work through all of these reading responses over the year. Some books I will re-read (you’ll notice there’s two or three worksheets to complete for a couple of books). I will usually work through three fiction read-alouds and reading response worksheets a week.
